Over the next few weeks we have a lot going on at the Summit Church that I am really looking forward to. Easter, of course, is just around the corner, which is always a powerful time for our church. And we will begin a sermon series on family and relationships–called “First Love,” soon after that.
Before all that, though, this weekend we have the privilege to welcome John Piper to the Summit Church. This is an incredible opportunity for us, and one that you will not want to miss out on. Piper has been profoundly formative for me in various areas of my ministry. He has fuelled my zeal for missions. He has helped me to read the Scriptures better. He has consistently encouraged and challenged me in my Christian walk. When you hear Piper speak, it is evident that you are hearing from a man who has never gotten over the magnificent grace of God.
There is never a “bad” week to invite people to join you for church, but this will be a particularly fruitful time for you to extend invitations to your neighbors, your coworkers, and your friends. Do not miss the chance to be sharpened by this man’s wisdom and passion.
