Summit: Four Ways We Can Prepare for Easter

Hey Summit,

Can you believe Easter is only four weeks away? Every year, we see God change hundreds of people’s lives at our Easter services. While we have the occasional guest who simply sees our sign and decides to check us out, almost all of them come because they received a personal invitation from one of you.

The focus of my message at Easter is simple: the life we seek, that we were created for, is in Jesus. I’ll do my best, with your prayers, to make things simple, accessible, and answer a few hard questions along the way. Also, we’ll be starting a new series on relationships the week after Easter, so it will be easy to invite your friends back the next week.

Here are four things you can do to fulfill the mission of Easter:

  1. Ask God to give open doors for you to invite as many people as possible. Every day, pray for an opportunity. Make a list of people you want to invite. Share them with a friend and pray together. Then take the risk and invite them.
  2. Commit to serve at one or more Easter services. Every campus and every location is adding services to make it easier for people to experience the gospel. If you aren’t already serving, sign up now.
  3. Greet EVERYONE around you. We will have tons of guests. Most judge their church experience by whether someone spoke to them. Keep your head up and make them feel welcome!
  4. Pray that thousands will commit their lives to Christ this Easter!

My heart is full of anticipation for what God is going to do this Easter, and I can’t wait to see what he does through our faith and prayer.

Thank you for being all-in for the gospel. Thank you for reaching out to our families, our neighbors, and our world!
