Paul’s Letter to the Romans Set to Music, Trevin Wax. This is simply one of the coolest ideas I (Chris) have ever heard of. And frankly, I’m a bit surprised it’s taken this long for something like this to get off the ground. Wax interviews the folks at Psallos about their newest project, a 23-track album based on Paul’s letter to the Romans—The Romans Project. 10 Pointers for Untrained Preachers, Peter Mead. This is helpful for anyone in ministry, really. Formal training ain’t everything, but it still retains quite a bit of value. Mead offers some helpful reminders for those who haven’t gotten around to that seminary degree…yet.
Rolling Stone and the Culture of Lying, Russell Moore. “Rolling Stone magazine printed serious criminal accusations against a campus group, accusations the periodical now admits are completely false. Despite all of this, both the article’s author and the magazine editor will keep their jobs according to the publisher. . . . Behind this scandal is a larger point. In our society, it’s become acceptable to lie about people and ideas, as long as the crisis created is in line with a perceived social good.”
5 Tips for Leading Strong-Willed People, Ron Edmondson. If you’re leading (in ministry, family, business, or otherwise), you don’t want those you lead to be spineless drones. It’s a boon to be surrounded by people with conviction, with the courage to speak their mind and not back down. But that same “conviction” and “courage” often manifests as outright stubbornness.
